10 Reasons Why Recitals Are So Important

  1.  Recitals provide a great goal to work towards: motivate practice, give lessons extra meaning.
  2.  Recitals raise self – esteem and provide an opportunity to feel successful. Students get their chance to be in the spot light and get everybody’s attention.
  3.  Recitals provide an opportunity for whole family get together for an important event, gives the reason to out of town relatives to visit, keeps your family close.
  4.  Recitals provide a chance to see the progress in your child’s lessons and to monitor their success a year to year.
  5.  Recitals provide an opportunity to see other students who is more advanced which will motivate your child to practice more.
  6. Recitals provide a chance for your child to experience pressure and nervousness and to lean how to overcome it.
  7.  Recitals provide an opportunity for your child to meet other students of the same teacher.
  8.  Recitals give your children the chance to hear live music. Young children rarely attend a lot of live concert and music recitals are a wonderful place for your child to hear a wide variety of music. Nothing can replace the “live music experience” and when your child is an active participant in the event it’s even more rewarding.
  9. Recitals provide an opportunity for your child and you to see performance of your teacher (all our teachers are great musicians and love to perform at each Recital to encourage their students and to show their own accomplishments).
  10. Recitals give you memorabilia: we take pictures and make videos of each performance that you can have for free.
